Young Hmong children wear colorful traditional clothing while playing a game called forfeit in the village of Sam Yord, in the county of Louang Namtha, Laos. This game is played with two rows of children who face each other. They throw a large, soft ball between them. If anybody lets the ball drop they have to pay a forfeit. The remote village of Sam Yord, only accessible on foot, is a village of the Hmong ethnic group. Photograph by Douglas ZImmerman.
